Shared Features: Dashboard Webinar Click the video below to view a 20 minute comprehensive training Webinar focusing on Dashboards. NOTE: This Webinar was recorded in September 2018. Any updates to the Dashboard tool since then will not be included. |
Dashboards are used to track key data points relevant to a business, department or specific process. Through the use of graphs, lists and tables, dashboards simplify complex data sets to provide users with at-a-glance awareness of current performance. Widgets are used to describe the variety of different items that can be added to a dashboard. Widgets display information that enables a user to perform a function or access a set of information and can be edited or filtered to only display certain information.
The dashboard and widgets functionality is available in several modules of Lucidity Software including:
- Lucidity Incident
- Lucidity InForm
- Lucidity Competency
- Lucidity Risk
Widgets can be shared between modules (excluding Lucidity Intranet) so Lucidity Incident details, for example, can be viewed from Lucidity Competency.
PERMISSIONS
Permissions for administrators for all Lucidity modules are set via Lucidity Access and are generally configured by the system administrator. A typical set of permissions for dashboards would be:
USER LEVEL | VIEW DASHBOARDS | CREATE OWN DASHBOARDS | MANAGE OWN DASHBOARDS AND WIDGETS | CREATE DASHBOARD TEMPLATES | MANAGE DASHBOARD TEMPLATES |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Dashboard Read-Only Widgets User | Y | ||||
Dashboard Widgets User | Y | Y | Y | ||
Dashboard Template Manager | Y | Y | Y | Y | Y |
...
If there are no templates created, on first log in to the dashboard tab, the user will be prompted to create a new dashboard of their own without the use of a Templatetemplate, permissions permitting. Refer to the 'Create Dashboards' section in this User Guide user guide for more details.
The table below lists the widgets available to add to a dashboard. These are the very same widgets an administrator can use to create templates. Refer to the widget descriptions within the system for a detailed explanation.

Lucidity are working hard to allow for the sharing of the same dashboards across different modules. We hope to have this available soon.
Dashboards can be created by either utilising an existing Dashboard Template dashboard template created by an administrator or by creating a new one.

Widgets can be shared between modules (excluding Lucidity Intranet) which means details from any module can be viewed on any dashboard. For example, it may be desirable to have all dashboards in one place for ease of use. In Lucidity InForm, a dashboard for Incident, Competency, Risk AND InForm could be displayed to prevent having to switch between modules. Dashboard widget sharing is not currently available in Lucidity Intranet. |
