MOBILE ACCESS POINTS
A mobile access point is where the access point is simply the card reader with no screen or box. It can be transported from location to location frequently and more conveniently than the honesty policy box as it is approximately the size of a small wallet. It does not require to be consistently plugged into a wall socket (only requires to be recharged). Typically managers or site supervisors will carry the Bluetooth NFC card readers with them and sign in their workers at a mobile site and sign workers out when they are complete for the day.
There are three steps required to configure the Lucidity OnSite App which is used in conjunction with the Bluetooth NFC card reader provided by Lucidity.
STEP ONE: Installing the Lucidity OnSite App
To ensure the Lucidity OnSite app works correctly, the following minimum specifications must be adhered to:
- The Lucidity OnSite app can only run on Android based platforms (such as Samsung, Pixel, LG, etc) including mobile phones and tablets
- The device must be capable of BlueTooth 4.0 (or later) and/or have inbuilt NFC capability
- The device must be running an Android version 8.0.0 (or later)
- The device must have a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage
- The device must be connected to a stable internet source (such as WiFi or 4G mobile data)
- The card reader and the phone it is paired to cannot be more than 2 metres away from each other
- Please contact Lucidity for the .apk installation file for the android device that it will be installed on

| After downloading the APK file, ensure the app it was downloaded from (Browser, MDM, etc) has the “Install Unknown Apps” permission selected in order to install the Lucidity OnSite app This setting is found in the devices' settings usually under security

| - Once the file has downloaded, press install and the APK file will begin to install onto the device
|
| - The app icon as shown on the left will appear on the home screen. If it does not appear on the home screen, it can be found in the app drawer/ folder
|
STEP TWO: Configuring the OnSite App

| - Enable Bluetooth on the device. This is dependant on the device but this setting can usually be found by scrolling down on the status bar or going into the phone settings

| - Once the app is opened, the user will be presented with the screen as shown on the left. Enter the Lucidity login details (not SSO supported) from the organisation to sign into the app
|
| - When successfully signed in, click the gear icon in the top right corner to access the OnSite app configuration settings
|
| Select the Area that will be associated with the device (this can be added/ configured in the Lucidity OnSite Desktop module) and the unique Access Point Name for the device Leave the “Enable Data Pagination”, “Automatically Dim Screen” and “Automatically Signout Workers” buttons off

| Get back into the Lucidity OnSite App and enable the “BT connection” setting (the USB connection will automatically turn off) Once this is done, click on “Search”
|
| Click on the “Start Scanning” button During first use, the location permission will need to be granted to the app
|
| Ensure that the card reader is within 1 meter of the phone After a few seconds, the card reader will appear as shown on the left. Click on it and it will return back to the settings screen NOTE: other devices may also appear here, the card reader IDs start with “ACR1311U-N2-XXXXXX”

| Once back on the settings screen, the MAC address of the Bluetooth card reader will be shown (redo the previous step if it cannot be seen) Click the blue save button to save the settings configured

| After the settings have been saved, the app will return to the home screen The card reader will connect after a few seconds. This can be seen in the top right corner denoted with a green Bluetooth icon symbol If there is a red Bluetooth icon symbol, wait a few more seconds or try to reconnect the Bluetooth using the above steps

STEP THREE: Print ID Cards and Associate with Users
ID cards need to printed and registers for each user in Lucidity Software is managed the same for Mobile Access Points as it is for all Access Point types. Refer to the ID Cards section in the OnSite Access Points and ID Cards page in this user guide.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Resolution Steps |

“Invalid” display on screen | Ensure that the NFC card is associated with a user in the system in the HR module of Lucidity Software The user base may not have refreshed, tap on the time icon in the blue section of the screen and this will update the user base

“Entry Requirements” | The user does not meet the entry requirements of the area, please check the user HR profile and / or company details The user base may not have refreshed, tap on the time icon in the blue section of the screen and this will update the user base

“Tap Failed” | The tap failed to read, try again The Bluetooth card reader may be too far from the mobile device

My card won’t register a tap on | - Ensure that the Bluetooth card reader is connected. This can be done by checking the Bluetooth icon in the top right corner of the app. See “

Bluetooth card reader is not connecting to my phone | Ensure that Bluetooth is turned on for the device Ensure that all permissions have granted to the app. This can be done by going to Phone Settings >> Applications >> OnSite >> Permissions >> Enable All Ensure that the readers has been configured in the “settings” menu of the Onsite app Ensure that there is a green Bluetooth icon in the top of the Onsite app Restart the application and wait up to 20 seconds to pair Reboot the device

Receiving notifications/calls from other app while OnSite app is running | The Lucidity OnSite app will not work when another app is overlaid on top (i.e. when answering a phone call or using quick notifications) Restart the Lucidity OnSite app and wait it up to 20 seconds for the Bluetooth card reader to pair

Bluetooth card reader is not turning on | The Bluetooth card reader may have ran out of charge. Please charge via micro USB cable before re-using |
