Content that is "responsive" is designed to adapt to the devise the user is viewing the content on. It will "respond" by changing the size of the presentation so it can easily be viewed on a mobile phone for example. |
End User Instructions
It is highly recommended that the final screen in any resource includes instructions to direct the user back into the Lucidity system where they will need to complete the assessment (where relevant) and complete the declaration. The course will not be marked complete until the declaration has been submitted. An example of how this may look is shown below.

PDF files can be be uploaded as a resource to an Induction module. A PPT can be converted to a PDF and then uploaded this way.

The technical definition for SCORM is: Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), a collection of standards and specifications for web-based electronic educational technology. It defines communications between client side content and a host system, which is commonly supported by a learning management system. It allows the presentation to incorporate several features and permits information to be passed from the presentation to Lucidity. In laymen's terms, this means that eLearning that is a SCORM presentation (in the form of a .zip file) can be tracked by Lucidity Software to determine if the user has opened every page of the presentation. It also bookmarks presentations, allowing users to view half a presentation and return to where they left off at a later date. If a plain PowerPoint file, for example, is used as a resource, it will download for the user and the system has no way of knowing if the user has opened the file and viewed each page. Therefore, the module is marked as complete immediately, even if the user hasn't opened it at all. However, if the PowerPoint is converted to a SCORM file, the system will only mark the module as complete when every page of the PowerPoint has been opened. Therefore, it is recommended that SCORM is used where possible if PDF is not a viable option. |
There are a number of software packages used to create SCORM and HTML5 presentations. Important settings include:
