Video: Module Overview
Lucidity Induction allows contractors and employees alike to self-register in order to complete eLearn induction training, as well as any additional training required. This can be included as part of an automated recruitment process. eLearns can be designed with assessments with set-pass marks and additional eLearning post inductions can also be applied. Several reporting options area available.
Getting Started
There are several Quick Reference Guides(QRG's) to provide an introduction to the structure of Lucidity Learning and how the relationship between Lucidity Competency and Lucidity Induction works.
Training Records and eLearn Completion: This QRG illustrates the relationship between eLearning courses created in Lucidity Induction and how they can be completed by both self-registered users in Lucidity Induction or by users in Lucidity Competency. In Lucidity Competency, additional capabilities for users can also be manually recorded.

Roles can be used to create training needs for users as well as generate training needs analysis reporting.
Download as: PDFContractor Onboarding Process: This process document illustrates how the responsibility of ensuring subcontractors complete online eLearning inductions and upload licences and tickets can be given to an external contractor representative. An internal contractor manager only needs to validate the documents entered, limiting internal administrative burden.

Managing Contractor Onboarding
Many Lucidity Software modules can be utilised together to manage the full life cycle of companies, contractors and sub-contractors. Lucidity aims to streamline this process and, where appropriate, contractor representatives (administrators from the external company) can be given access to the system to manage their own documents and subcontractors, lightening the administrative burden for the organisation. Refer to the Using Lucidity to Manage Contractor Onboarding user guide for more details.
Notifications
Email notifications may be sent automatically from the Induction module and can be viewed from the Notifications tab within Lucidity Access. For more information on notifications and to view a list of notifications specifically for Lucidity Intranet, refer to the Notifications page within the Lucidity Access user guide.
INDUCTION ACCESS ROLES
Users are given different permission levels based upon their access requirements. Permissions for all Lucidity applications are set via Lucidity Access and are generally configured by the system administrator. The standard roles typically provided in all new Lucidity system builds are as follows. These can be edited by system administrators as required.
USER ROLE | ROLE DESCRIPTION |
---|---|
Read Only | Using Induction, a user can view all records and user details and run reports |
General User* | Using Induction, a user can complete induction eLearning courses and print receipts |
Manager | Using Induction, a user can manage users, course records and companies and run reports (cannot delete) |
Administrator | Administrator role for Induction |

End-users may be given read only to Lucidity Induction in order to allow them to view induction completion status's and run reports.
General Users
Lucidity Induction can be accessed by creating a new account or using an existing account to log in. General User access is not typically managed by administrators but is applied by default when creating a self-registered account. Refer to the Self-Registration & End-User Guide page in this user guide for more details on account creation and course completion.

Manager
The Induction manager role may not always be assigned to managers within the business but is more a management of the system role, often given to those who are the responsible for ensuring subcontractors have a current and valid induction completion. Managers will be able to manage all induction course status, users and companies. They will have the ability to:

Retaining System Integrity
Only the administrator has the permission to manage master data such as courses and course groups. It is recommended that the number of administrators per instance of Lucidity Software is kept to a minimum to retain integrity and consistency across the system configuration and to avoid duplication. It is a worthwhile exercise to create a standard set of guidelines that all new master data entered must follow.
NAVIGATION
The menu and tab options available will vary between each user, dependent upon their permissions and access levels. Navigation between most pages within Lucidity Software is very similar.
On the Administrators Settings, Lucidity Induction features:

My Filters and My Emails
My Filters: Users can create and save their own reports using the My Filters feature.
Any saved filters can be easily accessed via the Current Filter drop down selection option above the Filter tabs. This is a short-cut route for applying saved filters.

Column Configuration
Columns within each page of Lucidity Induction as well as those displayed in reports can be manipulated by the system administrator. The columns displayed as well as the order in which they are displayed can be adjusted. It is important to remember that changes made to columns affect all users viewing the pages or running reports.
