The Settings tab is only available to the system administrator and is where the drop-down lists that are available within the filters of Lucidity Competency are generated.Â
Settings Menu
From the Settings menu, system administrators can:
Add new, edit and delete items from each list
Use filters to search
Generate an Excel report for each list
Managed Lists
Categories | Apply categories to a capability such as Induction, Leadership, Safety, Technology |

Capability Codes | A system of symbols, letters, or words given certain arbitrary meanings. E.g. 'C' Class license represent 'Car' and 'LR' represents 'Light Rigid' in a vehicle license |
Competency Levels | Depending on the requirements of the organisation, this field can be used to denote the user's competency level for the record. There are several ways to set competency levels and these can be varied across organisations. Example: Novice, Intermediate or Advanced         Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5         Qualified to train, Competent without supervision or Requires supervision Note the record status will still be listed as complete, regardless of the status. The status is available to appear within list reports. With discussion with Lucidity, it can also be made available to appear in the training matrix report. |
Capability Types | Whether the capability is a: |
Capability Jurisdictions | A capability can be limited to a state/ industry/ occupation. Example: GIQ Coal is a Generic Induction course for anyone working in Queensland in the coal mining industry. |
Delivery Modes | Is the capability delivered: |
Capability Functional Groups | Depending on the requirements of the organisation, a Capability can be classified by function, purpose, role, job or occupation |
Needs Classifications | Depending on the requirements of the organisation, this field can be used to sort needs into categories. The needs classification can be set accordingly, such as mandatory or optional. The need classification can be used to distinguish (for example) between needs that are mandatory versus those that are of a professional development nature. A code can be added which will be reflected in some Needs reports. Note this classification has no impact on end users and is purely used as a filtering and reporting option. |
Trainer / Providers | Name of the trainer or the training provider/ registered training organisation (RTO) |

Editing Settings
Care must be taken to ensure that any entries in lists that are modified do not have unintentional consequences, as all existing records, needs etc that have used a particular selection in a list will be also modified.

Some settings for Lucidity Competency are managed via the Settings tab within Lucidity Access as they apply to more than one Lucidity application. These include:
