Unlocking Accounts

After 3 failed password attempts within a 5 minute window, users will be locked out of their account for 15 minutes. Additional incorrect attempts may result in the user being permanently locked out. Administrators are able to unlock accounts to re-enable user access.

To unlock an account, from the Users page:

  1. Use filters to select 'Locked Accounts'

  2. Click 'unlock' to the right-hand side

  3. Click 'Unlock' to confirm

  4. User access will now be reinstated

  5. Instruct the user on how to reset their password (or reset it for them). Refer to the Creating or Resetting Password instruction page in the user guide.
