FAQs
I have a published form I need to edit before anyone else completes it. What is the best way to manage this?
Place the form into a Form Group to which only you have access. This will prevent other users from completing the form.
I need the form to be approved before I complete the next section. How can I do this?
The form Approval field is designed for processing workflows and approvals. Please see the Approval Workflows page in this Support Portal.
Are there limits with large form designs?
Very large form designs can become very processing intensive and because of handheld hardware constraints, the App performance can start to slow.
This is a result of the form template being stored on the handset within the Lucidity App for offline use, and the ability of some mobile hardware to retrieve, manage and transmit the form. Lower specification Android hardware is particularly susceptible.
Our recommendation is to limit the number of fields within a form to 100, with no more than 70 of those fields conditional. Based on testing and experience, forms up to this size will work correctly on a broad range of handsets including low-specification Android devices.
Lucidity also recommends that if it is necessary to exceed 100 fields then do not mark the form as 'Mobile enabled'. This prevents the form from being available in the Lucidity App, but it is still available for use via a web browser, which you can view on a mobile device.
